Come and join us on 27th July 2010 for Breakfast on The Ben!

We will be meeting between 9am and 11am at the summit of Ben Nevis. To find us, look out for our opencaching flag.

We decided to hold this event as we are holidaying in Scotland this summer and want to climb Ben Nevis during our visit. We also intend to take advantage of Scottish access rights, and so will be wild camping further down the mountain the night before the event, which explains the early start! We will then meet for a well deserved breakfast at the summit.

If you would like to join us wild camping then feel free to contact me and I will provide further details of our plans. Becuase the access guildlines recommend that wild camping groups are as small and as inobtrusive as possible, we are not making the wild camp an event in it's own right.

Please don't under estimate the climb to the summit. This event has a 4* terrain rating for good reason. The weather can be 10 degrees colder at the top than the bottom and it's also very likely that the climb will take you through low clouds, so wet weather gear is essential. Please don't attempt the climb unless you have the correct gear and you're in good physical shape!
